Music Director and Conductor
Born in Havana, Cuba, Maestro Urbay is the Founder and has been the Music Director of the Florida Chamber Orchestra since 1995. She was the Director of the National Ballet of Cuba from 1982 to 1991. Urbay studied at the Alejandro Garcia Caturla Conservatory, the National School of the Arts, and the Instituto Superior de Arte where she earned a degree in Orchestral Conducting with exceptional high honors in 1985.
